Hi! I’m Blake.

Woof! Welcome to my corner of the internet, where you’ll get to follow me on the most pawsome journey of my life! My name’s Blake, and I’m a German Shepherd with big ears, a big heart, and even bigger dreams.

I’m not just your average pup. Sure, I love belly rubs, chasing my tail, and sniffing out all the best smells, but I’ve got a special job to do—I’m training to become a hearing dog! Yep, you heard that right (or maybe you didn’t, and that’s okay, because that’s where I come in!). My mission? To help my favorite human, who sometimes misses important sounds, like doorbells, alarms, or even someone calling her name. I’m here to make sure she never misses a beat.

But becoming a hearing dog isn’t all play and no work—though there’s still plenty of play! I’ve got a lot to learn, from how to listen for certain sounds to figuring out how to nudge my human in the right direction when something needs her attention. It’s going to be a journey full of challenges, tail wags, and maybe a few chewed-up shoes (sorry, not sorry).

On this blog, “I’m All Ears,” I’ll be sharing our adventures together—every bark, wag, and woof along the way. You’ll see the ups, the downs, the muddy paws, and the proud moments when I start to really understand my new role. I’ll also introduce you to the rest of my pack, including my wise old pal Gramps (he’s another dog, not an actual grandpa), the tiny humans I look after, and of course, the one I call Captain—she’s my human, my leader, and my best friend.

So stick around, and let’s explore this new world of sound together. After all, I’m all ears—and soon, I’ll be the ears for both of us!

Paws and tail wags, Blake 🐾

Welcome, Blake. You know, it still amazes me when an animal gets on here and types out something more coherent than what I can write. Good luck with your training.
